Valency Gohn is President/Owner of Made with God. She is currently on staff with CFTN Surprise as an assistant Pastor and is the Director of Prayer and Outreach. Valency started Made with God to be a company that is designed to produce needed and exciting products and teachings that God has placed on her heart for the express purpose of pouring a portion of the proceeds into Freedom with God, which is the non-profit company designed to work towards eliminating and bringing awareness to sex trafficking. After rededicating herself to God – He freed her of addiction, shame, depression, suicidal thoughts, and anger – Valency now wants to help others be free by spreading God’s love through various products and teachings.

I came to know the Lord in my 30s, and it has been a whirlwind ever since. He has loved me, stretched me, shaken me, and held me. I am so grateful for the things that He has revealed to me and helped me let go of and then be healed. I have come a long way and still have a long way to go but here is a little about me and how and why Made with God is happening.
In 2011, my world was shaken with a few events that changed my life: My son was diagnosed with Asperger’s, my husband didn’t know if he wanted to be married anymore, my church was being taken over, and I was being asked to testify in a Federal case against a man who abused me when I was a teenager. All of these things came about within a few months of each other and I was overwhelmed.
I had a relationship with God; He provided me with great counsel through my relationship with a pastor that lived out of state. There were quite a few prayer warriors praying for me and my family during this time but I leaned on God like I never had done before. I was praying and in the Word constantly and I was a mess and at peace all at the same time. There were a lot of hard decisions that needed to be made and I had zero answers. I even told a friend of mine that I felt like I knew absolutely nothing and had no idea what to do. She told me to write down what I didn’t know and slowly God started showing me what I needed to know in the time I spent with him.
The next few years I felt lost and alone and tried really hard to stay connected but a lot of times I was just sad and angry. I was still praying and reading the Bible but something was wrong. After a conference in 2014, called Women on the Frontlines, https://www.patriciakingministries.com/ I recommitted myself to the Lord, found a church that I could call home, and my relationship with the Lord became deeper. At that conference addiction was broken off of me and I could feel Holy Spirit in a way I hadn’t felt before. This conference will always hold a special place in my heart because the healing and revelation that came from it changed my life.
This conference is held every year in May and after the one in 2016 I had a dream. God told me to make jeans with red stitching and call them Love. He said the name of the business was Made with God and I needed to start with blue jeans with red stitching and impart love into every single pair of jeans before they are sent out. He showed me the logo for the company also and then I woke up.
As soon as I woke up, I wrote everything down and then called my mom. She helps me with confirmations and this felt a little over the top. As I told her what I had seen and heard, she got excited and felt absolute confirmation. We immediately started researching. I was able to get a pair of jeans made with my specifications and then everything just stopped. I asked the Lord what I was to do next and he told me to call my friend Stacy. I felt I needed to remind Him that Stacy didn’t make jeans either and He told me, again, to call her. In fact, I reminded Him that Stacy worked for a large corporation and did not WEAR jeans; I did not think she owned a pair.
I figured there wasn’t much to lose in asking if she knew anything about jeans, so I did. She first responded, “Why?” So I told her about the dream and that I was instructed to call her. She then proceeded to tell me that her husband’s father had worked for Levi Strauss before starting his own manufacturing business, making multiple brand name jeans. Her father in law had been an owner in the garment manufacturing industry in the South his whole adult life. Eventually, the stress and corruption had taken his life; one that had been a Godly life. She also told me that the Lord had told her that there would be a business that she needed to be a part of and that I would be the one to tell her about it, so she had been waiting for me to say something. Isn’t God amazing! During this deluge of texts, we both knew in our spirit that Made with God needed to be connected with giving to victims of sex trafficking, which is where Freedom with God was born. Every two pairs of jeans that are purchased, one pair is given.
Every decision and every step has been ordered by God and we are both so grateful and willing to simply be obedient and see where He leads us. Thank you for being a part of our journey and May God bless you and your family for all you do.
